How it works:

The foundation of any true beer mile is built upon two things: drinking beer and running a mile.

The most common format of the beer mile requires a single participant to drink a full-sized beer, run a quarter mile, then repeat the process three times. This results in the consumption of four beers and the running of four quarter miles (hence the beer mile). The entire process is timed.

Beer:

This year for the Beer Mile portion, each participant will be consuming Pabst Blue Ribbon. There will be other beer options during the After Party.

Course Info:

Participants will start at the Chug Zone, chug a delicious beer and then run a 1/4 mile loop 4 times stopping at the Chug Zone after each lap.

Race Heat Info:

This event will be done in heats so we don’t have people bunched up around the lake. Heats are spaced 30 minutes apart and each heat will hold 50-70 people. If you are seriously trying to win the beer mile please choose the 1st heat at 11:00am. The earlier you go the faster you should be. If you sign up for the For Fun Class please try to be done within 30 minutes.

The safety and well being of our participants and the local community are priority #1 for the Beer Mile. Follow these rules so we can all have an epic time. Every participant, spectator and designated driver must be 21 years or older. No exceptions. To enter any Beer Mile facility you must have a valid ID. No ID = No entry. Every participant and spectator must arrange for safe transportation post event. We have a dedicated GET HOME SAFE table at the event to ensure everyone has options to be responsible and not drive under the influence. There is no requirement, rules or pressure to drink any of the beers on course or in the after party area. Each participant in the Beer Mile chooses, at their own discretion, whether they want to stop at a beer station or not. The beers provided during the one mile course are completely voluntary and each participant is limited to one (1) beer at each loop. Water will be available at each beer loop and we encourage everyone to party responsibly with us. We will happily hold your keys or help you arrange transportation from the event. Do not drive under the influence as we will have local authorities monitoring individuals as they leave bring a designated drive or plan to attend the after party and eat and hangout until you can pass a breathalyzer. If we deem you too intoxicated, we will no longer sell you beer tickets or serve you.
